An influencer marketing agency may manage agreed campaign work for a client; a platform provides features for discovery and collaboration. Choose by the responsibilities you need someone to own. On Influcius, agency managers can register and search creators, but cannot yet message them, post requirements or represent clients.
Compare responsibility before comparing labels
An agency proposal might include strategy, shortlisting, negotiation, production coordination or reporting. Read what is actually included. An agency name alone does not establish which of those tasks someone will perform or how decisions reach the client.
A marketplace gives you a product workflow. Your team may still need to write the brief, judge the shortlist and approve content. The useful comparison is who owns each task, who has authority to accept terms and what evidence they will provide.
Choose the route your team can support
If your team can run creator outreach and approvals, a discovery workflow may suit the job. If it needs someone to coordinate a campaign, assess an agency's written scope and relevant work. Neither route guarantees a result.
Consider the complexity of the brief. A local visit in Vadodara and a campaign across Hindi, Marathi and Tamil may need different coordination. Confirm who handles translation checks, products, locations and factual approvals rather than assuming these follow from the service label.
Compare the whole rupee budget
Separate management work from creator production, publication and usage rights. Ask whether a proposal includes travel, product handling, editing and reporting. Confirm how applicable taxes and cancellations are handled in the quote.
Platform fees belong in a separate line when a marketplace is used. A low access cost says little about the eventual creator budget. A larger managed-service quote needs an equally clear explanation of the work and responsibility being purchased.
Check the agency permissions on Influcius
A manager can sign up, accept the Manager Code of Conduct, create the agency's profile and search Discover while signed in. The profile and search can help the manager review work, Offerings and official numbers with their source and date.
Current manager accounts cannot message creators, post requirements, hold client accounts or act for a brand or creator. Client workspaces, seats, representation and agency commissions are not current features. Do not plan a client campaign around those capabilities.
The brand workflow is different. A brand can post a requirement and discuss it with a creator in messages. After the creator replies, the brand can pay the booking fee. Contact text written within that conversation then shows as entered; saved profile contact fields do not appear automatically. The brand pays the creator directly, and Influcius never holds that deal payment.
Check a management proposal
- Each task has a named responsible person.
- Approval authority and spending limits are clear.
- Creator fees and management work are distinguished.
- Rights, reporting and cancellation terms are written.
- The proposed platform workflow supports the account role.
Ask how changes reach the client and creator without creating conflicting instructions. Keep one accepted brief available to the people who are authorised to work from it. Record revised scope before additional work starts.
Register an agency with accurate expectations
Read For agencies before signing up. Register the organisation to create its profile and explore creators through the search features available now. Use the free brief builder, price guide and published guides to prepare clearer research.
Treat discovery as preparation rather than an accepted booking. Confirm current role permissions before promising a client an Influcius workflow. The agency profile does not authorise your account to negotiate or pay for a creator on someone else's behalf.
Questions, answered.
What is the difference between an influencer agency and a marketplace?
An agency may agree to manage campaign work for a client. A marketplace provides product features for discovery or collaboration. Check the exact contract and current capabilities.
Can an agency message creators on Influcius?
Not yet. Manager accounts can register an agency profile and search creators, but cannot message creators or post requirements.
Can I manage client accounts or earn a commission through Influcius?
Those agency representation features are planned, not live. Do not treat agency registration as access to client workspaces, representation or a commission.
Can a brand use Influcius without an agency?
A brand can search creators, post a requirement and message about a brief. It remains responsible for the direct agreement and payment to the creator.
